On February 28, 2024, ASPA went before The Honorable Justice Crooks and successfully argued the application for judicial review was premature and therefore should be dismissed. LaVina Watts has been selected as ASPA President for the 2022-2023 year. LaVina was one of the Vice-Presidents for three years before being elected as President. She works in the College of Arts & Science as the Manager for Study Abroad and Interdisciplinary Programs. LaVina has made some meaningful connections with the University leadership and hopes to bring that experience and knowledge to the role of president and to serve you and your interests as our members.
