Member Services Officer (MSO)
In 2013, the (at the time) almost 1200 members of ASPA committed to hiring a Member Services Officer (MSO) to assist the Executive Committee, in particular the President, in addressing Member matters, complaints and questions. This is the primary function of the MSO, who also monitors and addresses all matters tied to the Collective Agreement, and contributes to the day-to-day functioning of ASPA.
The ASPA Executive Committee is very happy to inform you that we have successfully concluded the search for a new Member Services Officer (MSO), and we have recruited Mr. Shayne Meggs to take on this role. Shayne has been a teacher for the last 16 years, and for eleven of those years, was actively involved with both the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF) and the Saskatoon Teachers’ Association (STA), until he decided to join us as ASPA’s Member Services Officer. Financial and Administrative Assistant
Angeline Hainstock was hired in 2019 as ASPA’s Financial and Administrative Assistant to replace the retiring Administrative Assistant, Annette Gellner. At that time, the title of the position was updated to better reflect the day-to-day operations and duties of this staff member.
Angeline is responsible for providing support to the Executive Committee, including the President, Vice-Presidents, and Treasurer, the Member Services Officer, and the various ASPA committees. She does this by creating agendas, keeping minutes, booking meetings, updating the SharePoint servers, answering and directing inquiries via phone or email, basic data entry, publishing communications materials, and much more.
