Lunch and Learn Sessions Survey Results; April 2021

Introduction

ASPA Research Committee conducted an online survey from March 10 – 19, 2021 to gather ASPA members’ feedback on lunch and learn sessions presented by the ASPA executive. The brief survey gathered insights on topics of interest and how best to offer the sessions. A total of 204 surveys were completed, representing a 15% response rate. The ASPA Research Committee would like to thank everyone who took the time to participate in the survey – your feedback will assist with planning future brown bag sessions. This article provides an overview of the survey results.

Working from Home Survey Results

Introduction

ASPA Research Committee conducted an online survey from July 20-29, 2020 to gather feedback from ASPA members about how working remotely from home as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted their lives. The short survey gathered insights on both the challenges and benefits members have observed while working at home for the last four months, after a rapid shift to work from home started in March 2020. Additionally, data were collected on members’ perspectives in relation to continuing working from home and returning to university offices. A total of 662 surveys were completed, representing a 46% response rate. The ASPA Research Committee would like to sincerely thank everyone who took time from their busy lives and participated in the survey. This article provides an overview of the survey results.

Summary of Census Survey – ASPA Lunch and Learn Sessions

Lunchtime ASPA Lunch and Learns (ASPA L&L’s) sessions can be a useful vehicle for ASPA to bring ASPA members together, to become informed about various elements of their employment at the University, and to discuss such matters in a group based interactive format. In ASPA L&L’s, we explore and interpret details of important elements in our collective agreement. ASPA L&L’s also provide direct person-to-person Q&A opportunities.
